Yamamoto's eleven in Trier

I was very unhappy about this restaurant. You see, it was my birthday and I love ramen and sushi. Good combo, then. But I'm not from Trier and I don' t have a phone number to make a reservation. I see people working inside so, I tap on the door. No response. I tap again. An European lady opens, looking annoyed. "Yes?" "It's my birthday and I'd like to eat here tonight. Can I make a reservation for four people?" At this moment, she looks at my children (8 and 9) and says "No, we're full until 21:00.", without checking anything AND SLAMS THE DOOR IN MY FACE. Maybe if you're a fake would-be hipster, this is a super funky place to go but I wouldn't be found dead here. I'm quite certain Isoroku Yamamoto himself is turning in his watery grave because of this terrible insult to his name. TL;DR: The owner should close shop and commit seppuku.

The best sushi restaurant in town. We ordered Chicken teriyaki, gyoza, a sushi combo for 2 people, miso soups. Chicken is tender and juicy. Sushi is fresh, especially tuna is super good. They have different parts of tuna, which is also rare to find. We will definitely come back :)

Definitely never eaten such good sushi. I can only recommend the wok vegetables (spicy). Just the right amount of heat to enjoy and not burn your tongue. I will definitely come back!

Very nice staff, very nice ambience (especially inside), extremely high quality, delicious Asian food selection (especially the sushi is really delicious), an open kitchen where you can watch the cook at work and fair prices in my opinion. Not super cheap, but the quality of the dishes is definitely convincing. For years I have been going there every now and then when my wallet allows it with a clear conscience, and so far I have had positive experiences there without exception. In my opinion this is the best sushi in Trier. :) Looking forward to the next time - maybe tomorrow!

Really surprising to find sushi and Thai this good in the middle of Germany. I’d be happy to get the Thai Curry we had in Thailand, and the sushi was very good as well (not up to a high-end restaurant, but far better than I would expect at the very reasonable price point here). If we come back this way, we’ll be eating here. So, 4 stars for quality, 5 stars for value for money.

Far and away the best sushi I've had in Germany. From Saarland to Rhineland-Pfalz, this restaurant is definitely a place you should go if you want authentic, well-priced sushi around this area.

Super delicious sushi, which was freshly made. We had a bridge for three people. That was also super sufficient. The condition took a while (hence a star deduction) and it took about 45 minutes to get the food. But what I can cope with when it is freshly made for it. The selection on the bridge was very tuna-heavy, which we didn't like so much now, but it was super tasty. Not too freezing cold, as is the case in other shops, because the sushi is probably prepared and stored in the refrigerator. All in all very good.

Absolutely amazing sushi. One of the best in Trier. The atmosphere is also very cozy and nice. It was a dinner to be remembered and I will definitely be coming back! Service was also very quick and staff very friendly adding to the overall experience. With such quality also comes a lot of customers, so be sure to reserve a place, especially if looking to go on Friday or Saturday night.

A very fine Japanese restaurant. Very well furnished. Authentic and creative dishes. Also a great sushi offer. The quality of the food and preparation was outstanding. Very good prices.

Food is ok but staff is unfriendly and very slow to even serve drinks.

The sushi is good, the prices are reasonable. But: We had to wait almost an hour for the meal (at least we were told), but we were not compensated for this. The only starter ordered was forgotten and even for drinks we waited at least 10 minutes. The waitresses were not friendly, rather disinterested and sent us to the counter to pay separately.

Excellent quality sushi and good portions. Overall the restaurant has a very relaxing setting and the meals are prepared for order. Especially for sushi this can take some time and a reservation would be recommend. We had the kimchi, Tom yum soup, the sendai & nakama, with a bottle of wine and some water 100€ for 3. Overall, not cheap but based on the quantity and quality certainly worth it. To sum up, recommended if you like high quality sushi, have some time and are willing to pay for it.

Great Asian fusion! We had udon soup, sushi rolls, kimchi, two different chicken rices all very very very good!! Very nicely decorated restaurant, you can tell that the plates and cups are not cheap. Reasonable price, ~15 euro per person And very friendly staff!
